Erode Nagaraj: Yes. Though people like all these slokas; respect all vedhas; be devotee of saints, when it comes to personal life, they never encourage such things. Everyone wants his/her kid to be an engineer(civil or criminal :P), an IT guy (they really become "it" from being he or she or prefers to prefix she to IT :D)
they will do namaskaram irrespective of place and floor conditions, but they can never see their kid become a sanyasi!
Horribly, sometimes they feel proud to say, for he had to attend his friend's b'day (read carefully - not peeday :P) i told him to skip sandhyavandhanam and vedha class (or paatu, violin, mrudangam etc.)... you see, parties are part of their life... he may need to attend a lot of parties, be members of clubs in future, no...?"

ReplyDeleteUnfortunate but 100% true.. what to do? We need not become a sanyasi but atleast we should live in the disciplined path which our fore fathers have shown.. If we stick on to our path, a day will come when the entire world will look at us. Vignesh
